Date Night

In our house, Friday is normally date night.  Be assured that it doesn't always work out that way, but that's the plan.  Tonight though, after both of us having an exhausting week at work, we decided we would have happy hour and a movie at home.  Sounds great to me!

Our favorite is vodka tonic with a lime wedge.  We've been drinking Pinnacle Vodka and if you haven't tried it you really should.  It is one of the best we've ever had.

Runs with Spatulas had a recipe for Roasted Garbonzo Beans today and it reminded me of a snack I have had before.  You can see hers here curiously addictive roasted garbanzno but I'll also give you the low down on ours.

Spicy Garbanzo Beans

1 14 oz can of Garbanzo Beans (Chick Peas)
some olive oil
some Tony Chachere's Creole Seasoning

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Wash and dry beans.  Pick off any husks that are laying about.
Make sure they are dried well.
Put on rimmed baking sheet.
Coat with olive oil.
Roast for about 15 minutes, then shake pan around to re-distribute.
Roast for another 15 minutes.

Remove from oven and shake on Tony's.  As much or as little as your taste buds allow.

Enjoy!

We're going to watch I movie......I hope he picked a chick flick!
